Veronica Barber, OD, FAAO

OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Barber has over 20 years of experience in all modalities of contact lens fitting and has a special interest in pediatric optometry, including pediatric contact lens fittings and the treatment of amblyopia.

​

Dr. Barber began her career in the United States Air Force, where she treated Aviators and other active duty, dependents, and retirees providing eye examinations, contact lenses fittings, and LASIK surgery management. Dr. Barber is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, including aqueous deficiency syndrome and chronic inflammatory dry eye. She also provides pre- and post-operative care for LASIK, ASA, corneal cross-linking, and cataract surgeries locally.

 

Outside of the office, Dr. Barber enjoys hobbies such as hiking, biking, scrapbooking, and creating lasting memories with her husband, children, and pug.

Vu Nguyen, OD

Dr. Nguyen completed his Doctorate in Optometry at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences University, becoming a member of the International Optometric Honor Society, after obtaining his Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise Biology at U.C. Davis. He has spent time on both coasts and has extensive experience in Primary care optometry, including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens exams, dry eye management, and the pre- and post-operative management of LASIK and cataract surgeries. He is also board certified in the detection and management of glaucoma. Dr. Nguyen enjoys the gratitude he receives from patients when he helps them see their best, offers them the best options to fit their needs, and explains their vision and ocular health concerns in a way they can easily understand. When he is not in the office helping improve the vision of our patients, Dr. Nguyen loves to spend time with his wife and two young daughters.

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR​

Monica is here to help and she welcomes our patients with a smile and a positive attitude. She oversees the patient experience from start to finish and coordinates referrals for additional care with consultants outside of our clinic as needed. She is well versed in insurance plans (both medical and vision) and she knows how to find the answers to most patient care questions.

Jessica has been involved at some level in Optometry since her childhood, coming in after hours to help at her mother’s Optometry practice. When she is not in college working on her undergraduate degree, she works part time as an Optometric Technician, preparing patients for their exams and performing ancillary diagnostic testing as needed. Her smile and pleasant attitude create a compassionate environment and add joy to the clinic.

Trinity is a new addition to our team and we are so happy to have her on board! She is currently attending college in the local area and she dedicates her free time to working part-time at the practice. She also assists in preparing patients for exams and performs ancillary diagnostic testing as needed. Trinity has a “can-do” attitude and doesn’t shy away from learning new topics and skills. She is an asset to our team in helping deliver optimal eyecare with care and compassion.
